What is your background?
I am a Registered Psychologist with experience in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in private practice settings. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan in private practice, university clinics, and with children in a school setting.
I approach each client with a person-centred perspective that draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
Why do you like working with children, adolescents, and their families?
I love working with children, adolescents, and their families because each brings something unique and beautiful to the therapeutic space. Children’s energy, curiosity, and joy make each session lively and rewarding. Adolescents often show openness and a growing desire to understand themselves, which inspires meaningful reflection. Families deeply care about the wellbeing of their children, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them in that journey.
As a parent of three young children, I intimately understand the joy and challenges of raising little humans. I strive to offer a safe, compassionate space where women and their families can explore the perinatal period with honesty and support.
What are your strengths?
I am a warm, empathetic, and kind of fun person, and I try to include these elements in my therapeutic approach. I create an open and non-judgemental space for clients, allowing them to bring their concerns to therapy and leave feeling a little lighter. I have a passion for supporting women through their perinatal journey and promoting self-compassion. I believe in a strengths-based approach and value each person’s experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I am always strive to be neuro-affirming and enjoy working alongside neurodivergent individuals.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love food! I love to cook food and I love to eat food. I particularly love discovering recipes from other nationalities and giving their meal a red hot go in my kitchen. When I’m not cooking, I love nothing more than lazing around the house reading books, playing video games, and binge-watching a good TV show. With 3 children, I often find myself on an adventure of some kind, be it at the park, the beach, or a bike/skate park.
