Information for referrers

Thank you for considering Nest Psychology for your patients. We use evidence-based interventions to treat individuals and families experiencing difficulties and distress. We value easy and open communication and like to work collaboratively with other treating practitioners in order to optimise treatment outcomes.

This is how you can expect us to work with you:

All patients are called within 24 -48 hours of receiving your referral.
We will notify you once your patient has attended their first scheduled appointment.
We will use evidence-based approaches to work with your patient.
We like to take a solution-focused approach and work towards mutually agreed upon goals.
We will write an evaluation report after 6 sessions with your patient (or after their last session if we see them for fewer than 6 sessions).
After 6 sessions, we will advise whether treatment is complete or whether further sessions are indicated.

This is how you can refer your patient to us:

Option 1

Give the patient their mental health care plan and ask them to contact Nest Psychology on 07 3371 9998 to make an appointment. We will ask your patient to FAX, scan or bring their mental health care plan to us for their first appointment.

Option 2

Fax (07) 3539 9851 or scan the mental health care plan to us at info@nestpsychology.com.au. We will contact your patient directly to schedule their first appointment.
